Tova Rinah and the Way Home (previously known as Tova Johnson and the Way Home) is an Atlanta band that is definitely worth checking out. Tova’s beautifully subtle voice is backed by a rather large band [at least by my standards, being used to the 3 piece so popular among local bands] of 7ish that brings together the sounds of guitar, banjo, harmonica, bass, and mandolin. I was pleasantly surprised to discover these folks back around March when they opened up at the 10 high for The Dole [matt & evan bivins of jump, little children & amanda kapousouz, aka tin cup prophette].
Tova Rinah & the Way Home play Lenny’s this Friday at 9pm along with the Cassavettes and Morrish Idols. At $5, what do you have to lose? Show details at LennysBar.com.
