Just got home from Beirut at the variety playhouse. Great show — it’s just too bad there were so few of us there to enjoy it! I knew before that these guys were ‘young’ (the lead is 19), but it didn’t really hit me until they came on stage. Here’s a photo from their site:

1 – Gnarls Barkley at the Tabernacle. If you don’t know these guys yet, I can’t do much for you… buy a ticket immediately, and I’ll see you at the show.

6 – Girl Talk @ Decatur Social Club. crazy crazy djs. this is the DSC that you should not miss.
7 – Black Lips @ Drunken Unicorn. great atl band. kinda post-punk, whatever that means.
13 – elans birthday! also, dfa dj tour @ the earl. these guys were the force behind pushing the rapture into the mainstream (and by the mainstream, i mean the bizarre underground world we all like to call home)
14 – mstrkrft @ mjq. dude & producer from death from above 1979 will spin some shit. it’ll be nutso.
19 – To a T MODA Exhibition opening. elans got some shirts, as well as clints pecan pie couture line.
20 – broken social scene @ variety.

27 – the decemberists @ the tabernacle. these guys have been a favorite band of mine for years now. they put on a lovely show.
